TOPICS - Pradaxa

Pradaxa is a blood-thinning medication, used for the prevention of stroke, which has been linked to heart attacks, uncontrolled bleeding and death. Pradaxa was approved by the FDA in October, 2010.

In November, 2011, the manufacturer of Pradaxa confirmed at least 260 cases of fatal bleeding worldwide, which are believed to be linked to Pradaxa. The FDA is now evaluating reports of serious bleeding associated with this drug.
